Truss Design Technician
Established, local truss company with a solid record of service to local customers is looking for an experienced truss designer with proven design capabilities. This is NOT a sales oriented position.

We are looking for:
= Two to three years of experience designing trusses and ideally also wall panels. Strong knowledge of related engineered building products and related prefabricated components such as stairs etc.

= Proven ability to work with standard industry design software (ideally MiTek Sapphire) to prepare materials for quotes, produce shop drawings, and assemble all required information for production.

= A proven track record in design with an eye for accuracy and an ability to work with customers
to meet their end user needs, meet all codes and standards and add value by eliminating issues as early as possible in the design, manufacture, installation cycle.

= Ability to read and analyze blueprints and efficiently establish customer requirements for design and construction.

= Knowledge of standard rough framing practices, codes and building standards, including usage of engineered wood products.

= A reputation for being organized, professional and reliable.

= Good communication skills and a proactive team player attitude.
